Family members and foster parents are influential in a foster youth's life. Case
workers, paralegals, and judges also touch youth’s lives and can play a positive
role in their journey to successful adulthood.
Foster Family Support
ILP has identified key resources & trainings to support foster families and other advocates in playing a positive role in a youth's life.
ACLSA is a free assessment that the ILP has adopted as a standard part of case planning. It is designed to be taken by the youth & an adult who has a relationship with them, which provides a more comprehensive view of the youth’s needs.
Foster families and other advocates can play a role in helping youth carry out their Written Transitional Living Plan. The WTLP is developed by and for the youth when turning 18 years old, which has individualized goals specific to their strengths and needs as growth & development occur.
